  • Salcombe Gin Inspired by the coastal vitality of Salcombe and its ship building heritage for exotic trading routes, we create exceptional gins at our waterside distillery on Island Street, Salcombe; one of the world’s only distilleries directly accessible by boat. Visitors to our distillery in Salcombe can often watch our distillers at work whilst enjoying a ‘Salcombe & Tonic’ overlooking the estuary. Next door is our Gin School where visitors can make their very own bespoke 70cl bottle of gin and is also home to The Victuallers where one can peruse our carefully curated collection of products and purchase a little Salcombe to take home! We are delighted to be serving Salcombe Gin ‘Start Point’ our flagship and internationally award-winning gin over the Classic Channel Regatta weekend in Dartmouth. It’s a classic citrus led London-Dry gin which uses 13 carefully selected botanicals including Macedonian juniper and English coriander seed as well as the finest fresh citrus fruit peels of red grapefruit, lemon and lime which were once carried by the Salcombe Fruit Schooners. We are thrilled to be sponsoring the Classic Channel Regatta and look forward to all enjoying a ‘Salcombe & Tonic’ or two in Dartmouth after some great racing and would like to wish everyone a glorious voyage to Paimpol!

  • Salcombe Brewery On a beautiful day in July 2011, John Tiner and his wife Gerry walked through the village of Hope Cove and stopped for a drink on the terrace of a local hotel before lunch. While enjoying a beautiful pint of Shingle Bay he was distraught to hear that the brewery could close leaving the area without a local brewery. Such was John’s passion for cask ale he decided to buy the brewery to save the brand and the beer! Since then John has had a vision to create a new larger brewery which engages the natural beauty of the area, with new high quality beers. The new Salcombe Brewery is a unique concept based on a decommissioned water reservoir utilising the ambient temperature of the underground facility and solar heating, making the brewery as energy efficient as possible. Tom Madeiros, the new head brewer (from Boston USA) has been able to experiment with different recipes to perfect the new cask ale range. These new beers were launched in the early summer of 2016 and have been positively received by licensees and consumers alike.
