Restorations, classic yacht replicas, traditionally built new yachts.
‘Fairlie’ is the name of the famous shipyard and spiritual home of the classic
yachts designed by William Fife and is the adopted name for the Fairlie
restoration programme. These magnificent restored examples of ‘functional art’
travel the world to compete in the most spectacular classic sailing regattas
bringing together a special breed of owners who cherish these fine classic
sailboats. Many owners extend their passion for restoration to many other areas
of functional arts, including classic cars and collectable aircraft.

Classic
Boat
is supporting the Classic Channel Regatta and wishes
all the contestants good luck and fair winds. Keeping the
older boats seaworthy and racing them offshore is the best
way to preserve them and the traditions they represent.
In that sense this regatta is inspirational to the huge
number of people who love traditional craft and it's a
fantastic sight to see so many boats from older eras gathered
together and sailing together in harbours like Dartmouth
and Paimpol.
Classic Boat will be covering this event, hopefully by taking
part in the Channel Race as we did in 2005.
