Pusser's Navy
Rum
- The Original Navy Rum was served on board
ships of Great Britain's Royal Navy for over 300 years.
Like single malt whiskeys, Pusser's® is a pot-stilled
spirit, which gives it a full rich flavor that is unsurpassed – and
100% natural. The name Pusser's is a corruption of the
word purser after the officer responsible for the daily
issue of
Pusser's Rum!
This Grandfather of all Navy Rums is also known as "The Father
of Grog" and "Nelson's
Blood".

Classic
Boat
is supporting the Classic Channel Regatta and wishes
all the contestants good luck and fair winds. Keeping the
older boats seaworthy and racing them offshore is the best
way to preserve them and the traditions they represent.
In that sense this regatta is inspirational to the huge
number of people who love traditional craft and it's a
fantastic sight to see so many boats from older eras gathered
together and sailing together in harbours like Dartmouth
and Paimpol.
Classic Boat will be covering this event, hopefully by taking
part in the Channel Race as we did in 2005.

The
Classic
Channel Regatta
, with it's concept of launching
a series of races for classic yachts in the English
Channel, is an initiative which has caught our particular
attention. We see it as the most interesting proposal
in a very long time for keeping alive a vibrant part
of our maritime heritage, and it is not so much as
a 'revival', which can tend to have an artificial
ring to it, but more of a 'new dawn', after a long
absence, of an era of more aesthetic and discerning
yachting. For this reason we are delighted to give
our full support to the organisers by associating
our magazine with the Classic Channel Regatta.
